Featured: John Kirslis Fantasy Insect Pins

Few items in the store are closer to my heart than John Kirlis’ “Fantasy Insect” pins.  After graduating from college majoring in jewelry making and several decades working in several high-end costume jewelry houses, John designed his own collection of fantasy bug pins.  They are magical!  The most basic outfit will be transformed with one of these tender creatures nested on a shoulder and nothing I wear brings more compliments.  Limited addition pins available.

Featured: Amour Vert

Native Parisian, Linda Balti, left her aeronautic engineering career to design a fashion line that was ecologically responsible.  Her creation Amour Vert translates to “green love”.  The clothes are manufactured in the United States using fabric dyed with vegetable and nontoxic synthetic dyes and some pieces are made with organic cotton.  The look is easy chic with an unmistakable French influence, while the wear and tear on the earth is minimal.  Visit Joovay Essentials & Luxuries to view these fine pieces and many more.

Featured: Wendy Stevens Handbags

Wendy Stevens’ early inspiration for her fabulous handbags came from her fascination with the sheet metal in telephone booths, elevators and constructions sites in NYC where she started her business on the lower east side in the early 1980s. She hand produces each jewel-like piece herself. These handbags are tough and easy to care for and look exceptionally smart with any outfit. They are designed to hold just the essentials but do we really need more? For collectible accessories, as evidenced by the Tassenmuseum in the Netherlands which owns four of her handbags for their permanent collection, they are well worth the investment.

Featured: Coorymoor Farms Socks

Coorymoor Farms, located in East Devon, England, produces my favorite sock. Their Angora goats produce fine, lustrous, Kemp-free mohair fleece. (Kemp is a short thick fiber which makes poor quality mohair itchy). Mohair is known as the “Diamond Fiber” for its luster, strength and durability. Unlike sheep’s wool, mohair fibers are smooth and don’t trap bacteria so the socks don’t get smelly.  I machine wash and dry my socks with the rest of the laundry and they don’t shrink.  They keep my feet really warm and last for years. We sell 2 sizes to meet everyone’s needs and they come in black (of course), gold, ultra purple, forest green and hot pink. These socks will definitely not be a disappointing stocking stuffer this holiday season.
